Your Missing Link is what?

What is your missing link stopping you from progress...progress that you really want?

I have easily pinpointed a few from my own experiences and through Coaching and speaking with others.

Problem 1:

Not enough quality food, especially skipping of breakfast.

Don't be a whiner, stop telling me you don't have an appetite in the morning. Shut up and eat! Scrambled eggs and oatmeal is great.

Another favorite of mine is 3 - 4 whole eggs mixed in with rice (after the rice has been cooked). This is a great tasting meal.

In general, the meals spread through your day should look like this:

1) breakfast
2) lunch
3) mid afternoon
4) dinner
5) late evening

that's 5 meals in one day and if you're highly active feel free to eat more, as long as the foods are wholesome and clean - not processed crap.

Dedication applies to everything, not just training.

Eat like a bird, you'll look like a bird....AND perform like crap.

Problem 2...

You don't train hard...

I didn't say hard enough, I said "hard" - most people are scared to train hard. It takes gut busting work to get stronger and faster. Get the job done and test yourself mentally and physically. There is no way around this one.

Problem 3....

Not enough ground based - full body movements

Too many athletes train with movements that allow them to sit down, lay down or be locked into some machine.

Not very challenging and not very effective for improving joint stability and "intellgience" - free weights, bodyweight and ground based movements prep the body much better for athletics than machines and sitting / laying movements.

Sure, the various bench press variations work great but you're missing out big time if you don't perform standing presses, standing overhead work, bent over rowing (as opposed to seated rows and pull downs), squats and deadlifts (as opposed to leg presses and leg extensions)...

catch my drift?

dedication to your success must come from all angles,
now you know what must be done, it's nothing fancy, but it is freakin' hard!

I hope you're ready!

Dedicated to your success,

Zach Even - Esh

Arnold Sports Festival Information

OK, many people have seen my spelling errors due to my typing with two fingers and excitement, this always leads to spelling mistakes, ha ha!

I incorrectly posted a product link last time, so here is the correct link:

many people e mailed me asking about the details to The Martial Arts Seminar at The Arnold Sports Festival, here they are:
Randy Couture MMA Workshop

Randy Couture, UFC fighting Champion and former NCAA wrestling Champion, will present a FREE mixed martial art workshop on Friday, March 2nd at 1:00 to 2:30 pm in Hall C at the Columbus Convention Center.
Couture will fight for the UFC Heavy Weight Championship on Saturday night at Nationwide Arena.
The workshop will cover his personal training methods. If you wish to take part in the workshop arrive early. You should also visit his booth in Hall C where he will present his line of workout clothing and DVD's.

Friday, March 2
1:00p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Hall C, GCCCC, Arnold EXPO
$10 EXPO ticket
The above info was taken directly from The Arnold Sports Fest web page.
I believe Randy will be leaving very shortly after the seminar as he will be weighing in for the fight. Steve Cotter and I will hang out afterwards to meet anyone and do Q & A.
The seminar will be packed, I have gotten a lot of e mails and messages from my space that there are MANY of you attending. This is not a hands on seminar but more of a presentation combined with Q & A from Randy.
I am looking forward to this experience like you wouldn't believe.
Training and combat sports are my love, they have been my first love since the age of 13! I can't wait to meet many of you and I know the entire weekend is going to be un-freakin-real!
Except, it is REAL :)

This is serious strength and body development!

The ability to master one's own body is amazing and this is an amazing display of true might and muscle!

These men were regularly barbell and dumbbell pressing, cleaning, jerking weights overhead.

barbells weighed over 275 lbs for guys weighing 185 lbs!

some of these men did overhead dumbbells lifts with dumbbells ranging from 150 - 200 lbs and they weighed no more than 205 lbs!

Talk about serious strength!

Enjoy the motivation!

Where have all the good times gone?

(Photo above, courtsey of Power Development Inc. Gym,

OK, the good times are still going strong here!

At least in my garage they are, and many other Underground gyms.

You see, around 1994 fancy, pretty gyms started to take over and Underground gyms slowly disappearred.

What happened was that these serious lifters said "screw it", instead they went ahead and set up shop in their garage, basement or even their back yard!

I am one of these men....they thought we could be killed off and scared off, not so....

Instead, all we needed was a heavy barbell, some heavy dumbbells and any other heavy 'stuff" we could get our hands on.

Kegs filled with water, massive stones found in the woods and back yards, axles with car tires, sandbags and climbing ropes.

Now we're taking over, and we're assembling together...creating gyms together, products for other hard core athletes and opportunities for meeting and expanding our power.

The fancy gyms are not lasting like they used to, there is a hunger for "Old school" training and gaining serious strength.

It's time for the men and women of strength to come out and show the world that the human body was meant to be strong!

Who's coming with me?!?!?

See you at The Underground!
