Last One Standing

I caught the final episode today, and, if you know me, I don't watch TV, but, some shows are dowright awesome and I hate to miss them.

Of course, I would always watch Sopranos and Entourage, always will :)

But Discovery Channel has some awesome stuff.....

Check this one out and look for the repeats or order the box set when it comes out:

The competitions and training look very tough, and what I saw today was brutal!

It's quite amazing, I'm sure guys like Tim Ferriss would fit in perfectly fine on this show :)

Stay strong,

P.S. - Just found out my story of "Underground Beginnings" is in a VERY cool book, which you can find HERE. I've been cruising through this book and love every ounce of info I have found, especially, public domain info. You'll be seeing an OLD book I have re-created and added MANY, MANY more goldmines of information to soon enough! How'd I learn how to get the info your way? You guessed it, Mr. Yanik Silver himself taught me!

Savin' the Day with a Truck Push

I used to push my truck A LOT through an empty school lot, as did my athletes.

Wow, that worked the legs and upper body big time!

It's been a while since I've done it, and w/winter here, my sled and prowler work is really at an all time low :(

But, Last night, I was leaving the mall LATE at night and I parked FAR away from civilization, as did a group of ladies. Looked to be Grandma, Mom and 3 of the girls.

Guess what? The good ol' Mini Van was NOT starting. I saw the girls and Mom trying to push the Van.

I said to them, "Where are you trying to push your van to?" They told me the van won't start and they wanted to get to the main parking lot...a good 150 yards away. I told them to ALL get in the van, put it in neutral and steer for me.

It was about 10: 30 at night so lucky for me the lot emptied a lot and I had a nice straight path to push them through. Those speed bumps didn't help much, but damn I got that van moving at a sweet pace and got them to the main lot, where security could easily find them and call for help. I waited till security came and man, that push had me breathing heavy and feeling the legs!

Maybe it's time to get back to my OLD roots and push my truck down at the school lot.

It's always special when you go back to your FIRST place where something began. There's certainly magic in the air, and I think this incidence happened for a reason.

I helped someone get home safely and feel safe. That's all that really counts in the end :)

Wishing you the most magical Christmas (or any holiday you celebrate) and New Year ever!

A Kettlebell workout to kick your A**!

I've been taking one of my clients through some regular "Loaded Conditioning" workouts using the beastly Kettlebells.

He loved it, and he was also rocked, as is anyone else who tries to step up and go toe to toe with 2 rounds of "Loaded Conditioning".

Once I put the finshing touches on this incredibly powerful Kettlebell training resource I'll give ya a holler.

I was lucky enough to get an interrogation with Kenneth Jay from Denmark, and man did he really wake me up to some bad a** combat preparation methods using Kettlebells and barbells.

I can't argue with KJ's methods because his results are phenomenal and man, he is one strong dude.

Until I get this Kettlebell kit all tidy and ready for you, I want you to sweat it out with this workout:

Perform the workout as a circuit and don't forget to warm up as well as hit one light set before getting into the heated battle below.

You will total 5 rounds with 60 second rest between each round.

1A) double push press x 5
1B) double bent over row x 5
1C) double swings x 5
1D) farmer walk x 50 ft.
1E) overhead walk x 50 ft.
1F) rack walk x 50 ft.

Get your mind ready for this one, the pain will be high and I know you'll be battling all the way through your 5 rounds.

If technique falters, do not stay with heavy weights, feel free to grab some lighter kettlebells.

Stay strong!
